Our Beers

Ossett Brewery beers are well known for their distinctive flavours. They are generally light in colour, hoppy and full-flavoured and have citrusy and floral aromas. Our occasional forays into brewing darker beers are always very well received as we constantly react to give our customers the beers they demand.

Permanent Beers

We produce five permanent ales available all year round and a calendar of monthly special beers with limited availability.

All our beers are available in 9 and 18 gallon casks and are free of delivery charges within our direct delivered area of approximately 100 miles radius from the brewery.

A select number of wholesale partners including H.B.Clarks, Baby Bottles, Small Beer & Fullers distribute our beers nationally and all five permanent beers are available to all freehouses, in addition to pub company lessee's and managers through the SIBA Direct Delivery Scheme.

Excelsior (5.2% ABV)
Strong Pale Ale

Our strongest permanently available brew. Excelsior has a mellow yet full flavour that develops into a fruity dryness on the palate.

A fresh hoppy aroma with citrus and floral characteristics.

Yorkshire Blonde (3.9% ABV)
Fruity Lager-Style Beer

A brand new addition to the line-up for 2010, this pale coloured ale is full bodied, well-rounded and slightly sweet on the palate.

A generous late addition of Mount Hood hops result in a delicate fruity hop aroma.

Pale Gold (3.8% ABV)
Golden Hoppy Bitter

A top-seller for almost a decade.

Pale Gold is a refreshing golden ale, designed for the discerning session drinker.

A spicy, floral aroma is derived from American Cascade hops.

Silver King (4.3% ABV)
Dry Citrus Lager Style Pale Beer

Our top-seller and flagship brand.

Since Brewing began at Ossett in 1998 Silver King has won many prestigious awards.

This lager-style beer has a crisp, dry flavour and a fruity, citrus aroma.

SIBA NATIONAL SPECIALITY BEER CHAMPION 2001

Big Red (4.0% ABV)
Traditional Deep Red Ale

A full bodied ruby red ale with subtle chocolate malt character.

Inital maltiness leads to citrus, spice and bitterness at the end.

A rare Slovenian variety of hop provides both bitter finish and the aroma.
