Fernandes CAMRA Presentation

Leeds Camra will be presenting brewer Steve Hutchinson with the award for overall beer of the festival for his Chocolate Orange inspired 'Black Voodoo'. It was one of the first beers to sell out at the festival out of a total of 177 beers. At the same time Wakefield Branch members will present Steve with the belated bronze award for best mild at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Sounds like a good excuse for a few beers at the Fernandes Brewery Tap from midday.

This month sees the seventh of our 'World Cup of Hops' series. Each beer utilizes the same 4% abv pale malt base with a similar quantity of a single hop variety and the beer being names after that hop variety. The Armais hop originates from France and produces a moderate bitterness with floral & grassy characteristics. In addition to Aramis we have the long awaited return of Real Ale Revolution IPA (4.5% American style IPA), a single brew of Yorkshire Blonde Premium (4.5%) and American Pale (3.5% intensely aromatic  ale with a refreshing citrus character).
