Rat Brewery ‘Inn-festation’ & Open Day

The next Rat Brewery ‘Inn-festation’ will coincide with a Rat Brewery open day. The weekend of 18-20th September will feature 15 Rat cask beers including several new beers in addition to old favourites. The Thursday night highlight will be a ‘Meet the Brewer’ and tutored tasting with Rat Brewer, Robin Moss. Saturday will see the open day and public brew day. The full on rodent themed weekend will also feature a #RatCrafted keg bar, Rat Brewery bottle and Merchandise stall with a street food stall on the Saturday and vinyl disco on the Saturday night. Ossett Brewery Open Day 2015

Our eagerly awaited annual Open Day this year will be on Saturday 12th September 1-7pm! The day gives the local community a chance to have a guided brewery tour and plenty of entertainment in the brewery yard. Our outside bar will offer a range of our cask beers in addition to cider, lager, wines and soft drinks. Food will be available throughout the day with a BBQ supplied and sponsored by our friends at Blacker Hall Farmshop. ‘RATSPUTIN’ KING OF THE KEGS

Our recently launched range of #RatCrafted keg beers caused quite a stir at the SIBA North Keg Beer Competition held at the Canal House, Nottingham on 23rd July. We’re chuffed that our characteristically hazy German style Wheat Beer ‘Rattus Rattus’ won the bronze medal in the Speciality Beer category and even more chuffed that our fantastically named 7.4% Russian Imperial Stout ‘Ratsputin’ won the gold medal in the Premium Strong Beer Category, beating Elland’s 1872 Porter into second place.
