Saturday 4th July: Taproom Re-opening
We are super excited to announce that we will be re-opening our Taproom on Saturday 4th July! After careful consideration we decided to change our re-opening plans a little to help everything run nice and smoothly. Covid-19 Beer Returns Information
Direct Delivery Customers: Customers who receive their deliveries from Ossett Brewing Company Limited are requested to contact the brewery to report unbroached out of date casks by emailing sales@ossett-brewery.co.uk or calling 01924 261333. Once reported Ossett Brewing Company Limitied will arrange for the casks to be collected, safely destroyed and a credit to be passed to the customer for the excise duty paid. Customers who receive their Ossett cask ale deliveries from a third party need to visit www.returnyourbeer.co.uk. Ossett Brewing Company Limited have registered with this cross-industry.. Read more
Breaking News: Pub Openings Announcement
BREAKING NEWS PUB OPENINGS ANNOUNCEMENT After the governments confirmed announcement that pubs can legally re-open on Saturday 4th July we have made the decision to initially open 3 of our sites. This is so we can learn best practices to ensure the safety of our customers and staff at all of our sites. There are many guidance notes from the government and we want to ensure we get things set up in a way that will work safely long term. The overwhelming popularity of our home delivery service has led us to make a couple of small changes to it in order to help us keep up with demand, but to also make sure it is cost effective for us in covering our fuel costs for us to be able to continue delivering our wonderful beer to your homes. COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) UPDATE
As the Coronavirus continues to affect the country, Ossett Brewery has introduced a number of additional measures to help minimise the spread of the virus. Hand sanitizer has now been placed on all of our bars and throughout our breweries and is available for both our staff and customers to use. All members of staff have also been instructed to follow the issued guidelines closely and act accordingly should symptoms occur. Beer, street food AND live music?! This Friday Ossett Brewery Taproom and Visitor Centre will play host to a selection of Mexican street food from El Kantina. El Kantina serve fresh, tasty and just a little bit fiesty Mexican and Southern street food that will excite your taste buds bringing a little bit of sunshine into your life. Join the West Riding Distillery's head distiller David Owens in a fun and quirky gin tasting session, showcasing Yorkshire's very own Waterton's Reserve Gin range! Yorkshire’s Ossett Brewery is poised for its next stage of growth with the appointment of Alex Minett as Managing Director of the brewing company. Alex was latterly on-trade sales director at Red Bull and part of their UK Leadership Team. Big congratulations to the Rat Brewery team who have brought home THREE awards from Peterboroughs 42nd Annual Beer Festival! Fernandes Brewery: Silver Award Winner
Congratulations to Brewer, Steve Hutchinson and the team at Fernandes Brewery Tap & Bierkeller! Fernandes Malt Shovel Mild took home the SILVER award from within the mild category in the CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain Awards at the Great British Beer Festival last week. The finals of the competition took place after a year of beer tastings, selection panels and beer festival competitions throughout the UK. Our Annual Family Open Day in aid of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice returns on Saturday 27th July! Expect to see a the usual great range of cask and keg beers from within the Ossett Brewery family, including SALT Beer Factory. As well as live music, street food, children's activities and a grand raffle with lots of great prizes and so much more! All proceeds from the event are donated to Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in Huddersfield. Youngest British serviceman to die in Second World War to get memorial recognition in Ossett hometown
A fantastic piece of history in our very own community (and pub!) by the Yorkshire Post The youngest British serviceman to die in the Second World War at the age of 14 lived at the Brewers Pride.
