BUTTERLEY

YORKSHIRE BITTER

A traditional, easy drinking Yorkshire Bitter, made from all British ingredients. Pale copper in colour, this beer initially has sweet malt and honey on the palate, followed by a moderately bitter finish. The delicate hop aromas can be described as floral and spicy.

Latin for ‘forever upwards’ and signified by the soaring Yorkshire Red Kite. Three times SIBA national champion and the strongest beer in our core range. 

A classic pale ale, brewed from British pale malt and US Cascade hops. Smooth, fruity and full-bodied, with a deceptive bitterness to complement its alcohol strength. Refreshing citrus hop aromas complete the sensory pleasure.

Pale Strawberry Session Ale

A light and refreshing summer session ale. Very low in bitterness, with aromas of strawberry and melon from Most™ hops grown in the Czech Republic. Real strawberries are added at the end of the boil for additional fruitiness.

VISTA

Dry-Hopped Pale Ale

A pale, sweet and mellow beer, made from extra pale malts, and containing a high proportion of wheat to give a full-bodied and bready flavour. Only released in late 2021, Vista is a brand new US-grown hop variety, and here it is used both in the hopback and as a dry-hop after fermentation to give aromas of melon, papaya and peach. Additionally, lemon zest is added at the end of the boil, to create a refreshing citrus character.

Barrel-Aged Scotch Style Ale

Strong, smooth and dark, “Wee Heavy” is a style of Scotch Ale in which bitterness and hop aroma are typically low, and malt is the overriding characteristic. This super-strength example has been aged for six months in bourbon barrels to give a smooth dark, malty ale to be savoured in moderation.

Golden IPA

A golden IPA with moderate bitterness and a robust, full-bodied malty mouthfeel. Hopped in the copper and hopback with Simcoe and then dry-hopped with Centennial to produce intense tropical fruit and citrus aromas. The addition of mango puree during fermentation completes this very fruity and aromatic beer.

A traditional English IPA brewed from Golden Promise malt and Goldings hops grown by SJ Parker in rural Herefordshire. A particularly bitter and robust strong beer due to generous quantities of whole Goldings hops added during the boil. SKARB

Ukrainian Golden Ale

In Collaboration with Varvar Brew.

The beer is a golden and full-bodied malty ale, with low bitterness and aromas of strawberry, bubble-gum, and tropical fruits. Coriander is added at the end of the boil to provide a distinctly spicy flavour, while the beer is delicately hopped with the new Most™ Czech variety. The word “Most” in Czech and “Міст” in Ukrainian translate as “bridge” in English, signifying the strong bond between the two countries.

All profits from the collaborative brew will be donated to the charity, Hospitallers (www.hospitallers.co.uk)- a Ukrainian voluntary organisation providing first medical and pre-medical assistance on the very frontlines of Ukraine. The donation will go towards shortages of medicines and medical equipment to deliver vital medical supplies.
