Belgian Blonde

Belgian Blonde Ale

A hazy straw-coloured blonde ale in the Belgian style. Slovenian-grown Savinsky Goldings hops give low bitterness and an earthy/spicy aroma, while a Belgian yeast strain results in the typical banana and phenolic characteristics one would expect. Vegan friendly.

Vortex

California Common

Often referred to as “steam beer” and made famous by San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Company, a California Common is a hybrid in that it is brewed from lager yeast but fermented at ale fermentation temperatures. Pale golden in colour and moderately bitter, this is a lightly fruity beer with a firm, grainy maltiness and interesting toasty and caramel flavours. UK-grown Jester hops as a whirlpool addition impart aromas of citrus and tropical fruits.

BUTTERLEY

YORKSHIRE BITTER

A traditional, easy drinking Yorkshire Bitter, made from all British ingredients. Pale copper in colour, this beer initially has sweet malt and honey on the palate, followed by a moderately bitter finish. The delicate hop aromas can be described as floral and spicy.

PALE SESSION ALE

This beer pays homage to our stunning Yorkshire heartland, the inspiration behind everything we brew. This pale ale is full-bodied, well-rounded and slightly sweet on the palate. A generous addition of Mount Hood and Opus hops late in the boil result in a delicate fruity aroma.

This very pale, hoppy ale is made from low colour malt. A combination of Cascade, Columbus & Amarillo hops produce an intensely aromatic and resinous finish.

SILVER
KING

AMERICAN PALE ALE

One of the original Ossett core beers from 1998 and SIBA national champion. This regal beer continues to be a timeless classic. A simple combination of UK grown pale malt and American Cascade and Chinook hops result in a crisp, dry and refreshing pale ale with aromas of citrus fruit and balanced bitterness. This beer is also gluten free.

A deliciously rich and full-bodied stout, brewed from pale, roasted and chocolate malts. Smooth and with moderate bitterness, chocolate flavours dominate the palate paired with aromas of orange and vanilla.

DRY-HOPPED PALE ALE

Latin for ‘forever upwards’ and signified by the soaring Yorkshire Red Kite. Three times SIBA national champion and the strongest beer in our core range. 

A classic pale ale, brewed from British pale malt and US Cascade hops. Smooth, fruity and full-bodied, with a deceptive bitterness to complement its alcohol strength. Refreshing citrus hop aromas complete the sensory pleasure.

EKG

Hoppy Pale Ale

East Kent Goldings are a quintessentially British Hop. Developed in the late 1700’s, they are grown exclusively in East Kent since 1838, now only by a handful of growers. Though primarily prized for their fine floral aroma EKG also give a smooth, honey-like bittering.

Stout

A smooth, mellow and creamy jet-black stout. Bitterness is low and malt predominates, with chocolate, coffee and vanilla to the fore. English-grown Bramling Cross hops steeped in the hot wort create a subtle blackcurrant and spicy aroma.

Cask NEIPA

A full-bodied, hazy and silky smooth cask NEIPA. Bitterness is low, but intense citrus and tropical fruit aromas are created by dry-hopping with Harlequin and Citra.
